AND ANDRES INIESTA IS THE EUROPEAN BEST PLAYER !!!

Spanish midfielder Andres Iniesta has won Uefa's award for Europe
best player ahead of his team-mate Lionel Messi
and Real Madrid Portugal born football star Cristiano Ronaldo.
The 28-year-old shined as his club finished second in La Liga and
attained semi-finals of the Champions League last season.
He also performed
admirably as Spain
sucessfull defend their European Championship crown in Ukraine and
Poland in Euro 2012 held earlier this summer and was subsequently
named the best player at the closing of the tournament. Iniesta has
now scooped
another award, leading
the Argentine and
Portuguese forwards,
despite their 73
and 60-goal respectively.
"Without my team-mates at the Spanish national team and Barcelona I
wouldn't have clinched this
individual record trophy," he stated.
His captain at his club,Carles Puyol, was quick to congratulate the Albacete-
born schemer on his
official Twitter page on what he describe his deserved award.
"Congratulations, Andres" You really deserve this."
Iniesta received 19 votes from the panel, while the duo of Messi and
Ronaldo were approved by 17 voters each. Last year's edition of the
award saw Messi named as the best player in Europe, with fellow
Barcelona team mate Xavi and Ronaldo finishing in
second and third place
