FALCONET 'FANS WILL WIN US THE GAME' AS MEXICO TEAM REPLIED 'IT IS NOW OR NEVER'

In all the matches Earlier played by Nigerian Falconets in
Saitama, there has been a posse of Nigerians in the
stadium singing, All we are saying, give us more goals chorus, a normal refrain
from the fans when any of the national teams are playing.
Their presence and their songs have been helping the Falconets win
their opponents so far and they will need more of the inspiration when
they
take on Mexico on in Tokyo come tomorrow. The
first goal scorer for the Nigerian Falconets in Japan, Ngozi
Okobi confirmed. "It's true that the fans are
always asking for more goals," Okobi said to Fifa.com.
"But that's a song we use a lot in our country and it inspire us.
Whenever we hear it, we feel as if we are home, though I was still
very surprised
by how many Nigerian supporters there were present in
the stadium. That helped us a lot in winning the matches,
But the Falconets must be watchful and careful of a Mexican
team that have been consistently
improving from a first day defeat game.
"I think this team is
stronger than what we had in 2010,"
Okobi mused.
"We have very good
players in every side of play, good
goalkeepers and alot of girls who can make differences in the game.
"We started on a good note by scoring two goals, and we're highly
confidence for the rest of the
competition," Okobi made known.
The Falconets have so far scored seven goals and conceded
just one while the Mexicans have also scored seven
goals but have conceded four in the tournament. The Mexicans are also
primed for the contest as they hope to take after their U-23 male team
that just won the Olympics men's
football event in the just concluded london 2012. "It will be an
interesting match because they have
qualities we are lackin and vice
versa, The key to success will be
confidence and
intelligence," said Sofia Huerta, of Mexican team, who have scored a
goal each in the three group stage
matches earlier played. The Mexican ladies are already thinking of how to
overcome the challenge of the physical attributes of the Nigerian
team. "They are a strong and athletic team, so we'll
need to be cleverer to
keep up with them when we play them. We have to realise the fact that,
for Mexico to win, it's now or never,"
Huerta added. Did you know you can join our interesting fan page on
